World Vision Kenya is a Christian humanitarian, development and advocacy organization working to create lasting change in the lives of children, families and communities living in poverty. World Vision has been in Kenya since 1974 and currently present in 35 out of the 47 Counties. The overall goal of the organization is to increase the well-being of these children by intervening in Food Security, Economic Empowerment, Education, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Maternal Child Health and Nutrition and HIV as the major strategic priorities. WV Kenya implements nutrition specific and nutrition- sensitive interventions through its Area Development Programmes with an aim of ensuring children under- five years and pregnant and lactating women are well nourished.
The organization mainly focuses on health systems strengthening both at health facility and community levels through its different interventions/approaches.
To achieve its strategic goal WV Kenya implements its interventions with different stakeholders through partnership. This includes the partnership with MoH, Community Based Organizations and faith based organizations.
